May I ask if you based the weapon off of a real weapon or was it just your artistic creation?

It is based on a real sword, I think it's just called the long sax. It's sort of the precursor to the falchion. It combines the weight of an axe with the long cutting surface of a sword... very good for breaking shields and removing limbs
